First Baptist is a biblically grounded church, a family from all nations, following Jesus in the heart of New Hampshire.

Our church takes the great commission Jesus gave to his disciples as our mission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

A Biblically Grounded Church

Our beliefs and practices are based on the Word of God. Scripture is the final authority and guiding truth in everything we do.

A Family from All Nations

Our church is a family of people who have been adopted by God, making us brothers and sisters. We welcome one another as family. We strive to serve families as they raise their children and to be family for those who are single. Our family includes people of all ages and from all nations. About half of our members come from outside the United States and we take pride in being united not by nationality or class, but by the Spirit of God and belief in God's Word.

Following Jesus

As a church we seek to believe in Jesus and be like Jesus. We spend time with Jesus through worship and his Word. We become like Jesus through practicing his way of life. And we strive to do what Jesus did, telling the truth, loving God, and loving our neighbors no matter what the consquences.

In the Heart of New Hampshire

We do all of this in downtown Manchester, New Hampshire, in the middle of the biggest city in the least Christian state in the country. Our church building is just a few blocks from City Hall, the Red Arrow Diner, and Central High School. About half of New Hampshire's population lives within 20 miles of our church, which is only a half-hour or less by car from Nashua, Concord, or Derry. We are excited to share the love of Jesus in this place.
